When I asked Niche's eye-catching owners, Lauren and Michelle Lin how they started it all, they were very friendly and gave me answers people would pretty much be interested in, you can also read about this in the article about them in Manila Bulletin.
"How we started and the background is kind of typical actually. We're sisters that love fashion but then the things we want are either unavailable here, too expensive, or made of poor quality. So we decided to make our own line. The reason was selfish at first, we just wanted to be able to wear the styles we wanted but then it became a desire to have a label that doesn't seek to merely profit but to provide to consumers what we thought others couldn't - value for money. We strive to make designs that are not typical but still fashionable and are of good quality without the ridiculously high price. We dabbled in what we felt we were good at and at the same time had a goal to create clothing that had its own distinct segment in the market so we decided to call it Niche. :)"
Niche is an example of a vision two people had originally for themselves that grew into something they can now share with their consumers. Their passion in this field brought them to prosper, supplying fashionistas with everything they need from dresses to accessories and everything in between. Niche serves as an inspiration to all the young entrepreneurs out there, telling them that if you are passionate about something, you should pursue it 'cause who knows, one day you might be the next top designer inspiring people and helping them find their own niche. :D
